Another X-Stitch Masterpiece

My brother, Ed, got married late last year but chose to have a church blessing combined with their daughter's christening this summer....so I created this.

When I discovered about their celebrations planned for this summer, I set to and designed this cross-stitch for them, my brother is training to be an airline pilot and loves being in the mountains, so it was a really personal design.

There names and date of marriage was embroidered onto the aeroplane's banner and their daughter's name and date of birth below the baby bundle, where they are blanked out in this photo.

In the future if they have other children, I will also embroider their names and dates of birth onto it as well.

I was really pleased with the way it turned out and hope they treasure it as a memoir of their marriage and children.

Adventures in Feldberg, Black Forest, Germany - SKIING - Day 2

On day 2 of our skiing adventures in Feldberg in the Black Forest in Germany we ventured to a different ski slope and wow the views from the top were awesome...

...in fact each time we went back to the top on the ski lift the sky was a different colour and the view became more amazing...

...and this was the hotel in which we resided for those few days, we would fully recommend it as it was right on the slopes, although there English was sometimes difficult and we did not always understand the menu!

Adventures in Feldberg, Germany - SKIING - Day 1

Nearly a month ago now, we had the opportunity to go to Feldberg in the Black Forest in Germany to do some skiing, before travelling onwards to near Freiburg where we spent some time with my younger brother, wife and new baby niece.

We arrived in the dark very late one evening and the next day we awoke to this beauty from our hotel room...

...we didn't wait around for long before we were out there on the slopes enjoying the snow and sunshine...

...and we stayed out there until the sun began to set in the skies...
